Discover Airlines, the Lufthansa Group’s leisure carrier, is launching direct flights between Frankfurt and Agadir Al Massira Airport this month as part of its winter 2026/27 schedule. The route operates twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, running through the end of March 2027.
The Route
Frankfurt Main to Agadir opens in late October 2026, with a flight time of approximately four hours. The twice-weekly schedule gives German-speaking Europe a direct connection that sidesteps the Paris and Madrid hubs that previously served as the most common one-stop options.
Alongside this, Discover Airlines is also launching Munich to Fez, bringing Morocco’s total with the carrier to up to 16 weekly flights across Agadir, Fez and Marrakech at peak periods. It is one of the largest single-season Germany-to-Morocco expansions announced this year.
What It Means for Taghazout
Agadir Al Massira is the gateway airport for the Taghazout coast. From arrivals, it is 25-35 minutes by taxi or shared transfer to Taghazout, Tamraght and Aourir. The new Frankfurt connection joins the winter routes already confirmed from the UK (easyJet from Gatwick, Birmingham and East Midlands, plus Ryanair) and Eastern Europe (Wizz Air from Bratislava), giving the region its broadest direct low-cost coverage from across Europe in a single winter season.
October through April is the prime surf window on Morocco’s Atlantic coast: consistent ground swell, consistent offshore winds, and air temperatures that rarely drop below 18°C. Anchor Point typically sees its most reliable large surf between November and February.
